Latitude and longitude
Coordinate sadness and zealous mirth
Still, who’s to say in what place and time
These lines crisscross the earth?
For happiness is hit and miss
Surely, a rare island to be sighted
Like loneliness spurred by love amiss
Never quite requited
In seeking love and a place of peace
Keep your focus and your eyes on
The creation of an inhabitable reef
Safely within a horizon
Within a hermetically sealed and salty bubble
Life’s ocean of woe causes no trouble
All is theatrically certain
The stage, the lights, the script, the curtain
So, happiness then rests not in time
Nor in any platitude along a line
Rather then, in one’s own head
In the theater of dreams, dreamt in bed
And to all who seek an ocean of trouble
A sea of sorrow beyond the bubble
Respect this:
Lines of space and time don’t matter
Only well staged theater makes trouble scatter
Before one’s nose
The horizon dweller knows no woes
